Please vote for us to become your Co-op Community Champions

EXCITING NEWS!

We’re thrilled to announce that Protect Newark's Green Spaces has made the final shortlist for the Lincolnshire Co-op’s community champions contest. Our group is now up for the public vote in Newark’s Bowbridge Road area!

Voting starts TODAY Wednesday 6 April and is open until Sunday 24 April 2022

HOW TO VOTE:

You must register your vote online and you can do this here.

Anyone who has a dividend card can vote but, if you don’t have one, fret not! All you have to do is apply for one (you can do this online or in store) and once you have your membership card, you’ll be able to vote online for Protect Newark’s Green Spaces as your community champion group.

WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY CHAMPION CONTEST?

Lincolnshire Co-op supports groups who make life better for their community. We hope you’ll agree that PNGS does exactly that!

Every time a member shops, the Lincs Co-op makes a donation to a good cause through the Community Champions scheme. The groups are voted for by staff and members for a three-month period.

As we’re sure you’re aware, all our environmental community campaigning is run on a voluntary basis by local residents. Any funds donated to our group would be ploughed into new campaigns to help save Newark’s green spaces, like the beautiful Library Garden which we recently saved from being bulldozed and turned into a carpark by NSDC. Any support we can get would be invaluable in helping us to protect Newark’s green spaces and nurture them for generations to come.

Please get voting - and tell all your family and friends to vote too!

For anyone who can't access the internet to vote here please use our contact us form and we'll explain how you can vote.
